anyone care to register a new domain name for the forum...just advise me the new url so that i can use it to incorporate with the site.

actually... addictz.net f-addictz.net and tweakerz.net and com... are the domains i do have...but not paid yet of course.. just uni.cc for now... i have a cpanel control panel courtesy by my friend as well as yurx...another is freehostia well unfortunately there has bee a problem...actually.. its easy for me to buy hosting and domain at low cost..but of course the activity of the forum is not that continuous and consistent... that's why.. buying such domains and hosting is quite unnecessary for now...besides.. if you want to have own dmain name.. well, lets make our own forum with our hosting..coz we can't remove proboards.com from our domain as tail if we stick having our forum under them... creating such forum which is powerfull than this is easy... well smf wud be a good one and wat i advise d to use...add ons and performance are great... its a php and mysql runned forum which is highly use, not to mention its free..well, if we gain the activity of a forum which is worth its of own hosting and domain...i wud personally create the forum myself....well, a P1000/year hosting and domain is pretty cool already...of course there are cheaper but i don't think it can handle the bandwidth for an active smf forum....so what you say guys?  ?? |

any other suggestions...for the compliment..no prob..its cool...
its very easy to create own forum and register it in a cool domain...
please give some suggestions if you really want this have an own forum in our own domain based hosting......besides proboard can't be fully costumized like phpbb, smf or vbulletin and others..which we can include external php in it and cool ad ons....
we can't register this as our own domain for the reason that we our using proboards space and bandwidth, we can remove ads though but its still useless.... so this depends on you guys...
by the way all sigs is better if put in the center...well, we can use force center sigs i think.. but i thought maybe some like it the way they eput it..so i leave that behind...tnx

buying or own domain...i think its worthless..(for now i would say) why? i just noticed the the people are too toxic to visit the site and perhaps lack of interests as well.. in terms of technical topics. for now dont bother too much for a paid domain just give me some time to comprehend with the matter..im too busy nowadays..i cannot concentrate on this..but i am trying my best to get mysef back on the road that is why i am so thankful for the administrators and moderators who are trying to spend time to relive the forum what im tryin to say now is to register a short domain name so that its very easy to remember the url..  |

am...i don't think we can have a shorter domain for this forum..coz its under the domain of proboards...unless of course redirection method..unlike other forum that's based on own hosting, we can easily use shorter domain name...most preferrably uni.cc which is quite known...but as i said this forum is under the proboards..so other than redirection method...this domain can't be shorten....  |

for that reason..i agree..we do need some pepz to keep this forum alive... actually, the only thing holding me up right now..is the matter that this will always will be a proboards forum...and there will always be a limitation to what we can do to this forum simply for that reason...though spaces for javascript injection in proboards i huge i may say, we are still limited...and its not by name id calling...so there is really a big difference..but as long as this forum will be at least active..then will work something out....  |

yea...you got it right ...  that is what i am really tryin to say  look.. if we are able to gain more members and we have this forum very much active in terms of technical.. then i would say..its time to pay for our own domain.. and that is not a problem after all for now maybe.. i will work on looking for moderators thats my priority now. and the rest will follow,. |

ok then..understood..hope we'll find those mods sooner.... but please be guided..that if we do buy our own domain with our hosting paid or not...we can carry this forum though.. i mean this database that we already have..we need to create another new forum for it...but maybe we can redo the thread here..and for members..we can just send invitation or sign up for the existing members ourselves..to make it easier...long story short..whatever we have here...we can't bring it to our own domain if ever...redo maybe..incorporate...lets try..well, thats just to clear things up...for everyone...  |
